A new strength challenge in Yerevan

The event was announced for Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. local time at Metropoliteni El-Havaqakayan in Yerevan, Armenia. Sakunts planned to move a metro railcar estimated at 70 tons over a distance of ten meters using only his little finger. The public was invited to watch.

The challenge aimed to surpass his February 25, 2019 performance, when he reportedly pulled a 33-ton wagon ten meters using the same technique. The original article describes this as an upcoming attempt, rather than a completed record.

Yuri Sakunts and his athletic background

Sakunts was described as an amateur boxer, Armenian martial arts champion, two-time power-triathlon world champion, and power-wrestling World Cup bronze medalist. At the time, he was credited with several world records and numerous records established in Armenia.

The article stated that his accomplishments had been recognized by the World Sports Organization and Vajra Book of World Records, and that he was seeking Guinness World Records recognition. Those are claims made in the original 2022 announcement, not independently verified certifications.

Supporting Armenian youth

Beyond strength competitions, Sakunts had worked with young people through athletic programs, including encouraging autistic children to participate in sports and strength training. HYECoin emphasized this community contribution as an important reason for supporting the event.

Sponsors and partners

HYEDram/HYECoin Inc. identified King Chip (Chip Tha Ripper), MeaningfulWorld NGO, Spaceplug Inc., Spacesmack.com, HIRECLOUT, and Narek Arshakyan Photography among the supporters of the planned August 4 event.

HYECoin's vision for Armenia

HYECoin co-founders Tiran Antaplian and Donald Wilson Bush described a broader ambition to support Armenia through education, sports, medicine, financial services, and entrepreneurship. The announcement also presented HYEDram as a stablecoin initiative intended to facilitate transactions involving participating businesses and to contribute to economic activity in Armenia.

These descriptions reflect the organization's stated goals at the time of publication and should not be interpreted as independent verification of the stablecoin's present operations or financial performance.
