Young Armenian Fighters Inspire A Nation
On August 20, 2022, three teenage Armenian athletes competed in a boxing and kickboxing exhibition in Yerevan with the encouragement of Armenian strongman Yuri Sakunts and support from HYEDram. The event took place against a difficult backdrop for Armenian families in Aghavno, Berdzor and Sus.
Ashot Matevosyan, Hayk Grigoryan and Hrach Grigoryan made their first appearance in this type of public competition. Together, the team finished second overall, an achievement celebrated by their supporters as a sign of resilience and promise.
The original HYEDram report connected their sporting success with a wider message of solidarity, youth development and hope for the Armenian community. It emphasized the determination of young athletes to represent their country and build a positive future.
